As young adults, do you actually think we're slaves? Many girls and guys are following the 'breeze' nowadays. They'd do anything to look trendy - and fashionable.
How do we define 'fashion'? Is it what's hot in the world today now? Or is it a certain style? Or is it to be at the front line of the upcoming trends?
Please tell us!

Here in Japan, we have many cases of young people (Aged 15 to 29) being dragged around with their noses by fashion. Over here, fashion is one of the sole industry and market (Economy) in our major cities like Tokyo and Osaka. It is very important for the young people to be up at the front-lines of the latest fashion, and they will do just about anything for it. Be it rob or steal, they will make sure they live up to the standards of a 'fashionable, trendy city-goer'. I daresay that I am also always concerned about how I look when I shop in Shibuya. It's all about fitting into the fashionable life.

FASHION
Fashion is being defined as a certain style or way of dressing for me. As style changes, fashion trends changes as well.

I don't think that young people are slaves to fashion. We just want to look good and express ourselves uniquely depending on our idea of fashion. Other people ,adults commonly, would think that young people are slaves to fashion as we sometimes buy clothes and other accesories that we may not use but once every year.
Thxs. ^_^

In my opinion, young people are slaves to fashion. The current fashion is tight skinny jeans. This can be seen from the increasing number of young people who wear tight skinny jeans almost everywhere. Hence, I believe that young people are slaves to fashion because there are still many of them who follow the fashion.
