As the youths want to own these goods so much, they will ensure that they will get them eventhough they do not have enough money. Steal, rob, beg, borrow. They will go to extends of doing these immoral activities just so they can get the cash for their wants. More crimes will be committed and thus crime rates in a society will increase.
An example would be an article houmatoday.com, from Louisiana, USA. A teen allegedly tries to rob an ice-cream truck due to desperation for cash. He was so desperate for money that he threatened the ice-cream truck vendor with a gun. The woman, who has worked as an ice-cream vendor for two decades, thought that it was a toy gun and was shocked when she found out that it was a real gun. “It was like, ‘Wow,’” she said. “It was a real gun and yes, he could have shot me.”
