hey guys, Dian here  Anyways.. I do agree that we (youths) are slaves to fashion to a certain extent. I think that most of us follow fashion trends as a status quo and as a way to gain acceptance from our peers and feel that we 'belong' in a certain social 'clique'. In my opinion, following fashion trends is a type of peer pressure and some teens might resort to delinquency just to purchase items that are in-trend. However I feel that sometimes being slaves to fashion is a good thing. We constantly keep our appearances up-to-date and we are able to look presentable and it might be able to boost our confidence in the long run. |
